Fresh Orange Juice

Ingredients

  • 4-5 oranges
  • Optional: pinch of salt
  • Optional: honey

Instructions

  1. Roll oranges on countertop to soften them up.
  2. Cut oranges in half and squeeze using a juicer.
  3. Strain to remove pulp and seeds if desired.
  4. Serve immediately over ice for best flavor!

Orange Glazed Chicken

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • Zest of 1 orange

Instructions

  1. Season chicken with salt and pepper, sear in a hot pan.
  2. Mix orange juice, soy sauce, garlic, honey, and zest.
  3. Pour sauce over chicken and simmer for 20 minutes.
  4. Baste occasionally until sauce thickens and chicken is cooked through.

Orange & Avocado Salad

Ingredients

  • 2 oranges, sliced
  • 2 avocados, sliced
  • Mixed greens
  • Olive oil
  • Lime juice
  • Salt & pepper

Instructions

  1. Arrange mixed greens on a large platter.
  2. Peel and slice oranges into rounds, layer over greens.
  3. Slice avocados and add to the salad.
  4. Drizzle with olive oil and lime juice, season with salt and pepper.

Classic Orange Marmalade

Ingredients

  • 4 Seville oranges
  • 2 sweet oranges
  • 1 lemon
  • 8 cups water
  • 8 cups sugar

Instructions

  1. Wash fruit and thinly slice, removing seeds.
  2. Soak sliced fruit in water overnight.
  3. Boil fruit and water for 1 hour until peel is tender.
  4. Add sugar and boil rapidly until setting point is reached (about 30 min).
  5. Pour into sterilized jars and seal.
